Maybe also search for anything > on the system containing rst2html. > It's not, docutils only ships rst2html.py and it's the normal name to use ("some" distros rename it or make a symlink, but Gentoo only use the upstream intended name, you wouldn't get a rst2html if you installed it with e.g. pip too). Because of these distros, mpv tries rst2html then rst2html.py if it's not found. Error is confusing, thing is that rst2html was found, but the "not found" error was about the python interpreter (as noted in another mail). You have to be using portage and run emerge --deep @world with either --changed-use or --newuse to make it notice the update when the python stuff changes in the profile.
