you could put this in your xorg.conf in the InputDevice section for your 
keyboard:

Option "XkbOptions" "lv3:win_switch,ctrl:nocaps,compose:rwin"

this will make your caps-lock key another ctrl-key.
(of course this only works will working in X...)

 how can I kill the CAPS LOCK key ?

 I really have had enough from this ancient typewriter
 (dis)functionality!!!
