Ah, OK. I understood (assumed?) that when you posted this output: "jrn23@ ~ > krusader krusader: Initialisising useractions... krusader: 10 useractions read." that the command failed. I don't get any terminal output at all here when I run it like that. I see from your other post that it's all fixed now. Looking back, it's actually kinda obvious now why it was failing. Re: [gentoo-user] Make krusader default file manager
you did the trick...i tried something and it worked...in "file associations-> inode-directory" i put krusader as the default application but using the following command " '/usr/bin/krusader' --left %u --right /home/jrn23/Desktop " and now it opens every directory i double-click on...i wouldn't have noticed it without your help...thanks again for your help... well "revdep-rebuild -p" gives no errors...i still reemerged krusader with the useflag "debug" and when i run it from konsole it gives the following output "jrn23@ ~ > krusader krusader: Initialisising useractions... krusader: 10 useractions read." still when i try to open a directory from the desktop it gives me the same error "kdeinit could not launch '/usr/bin/krusader' "...something else i could do?? Seems like you were successful making krusader the default. It also seems that krusader is broken. I suggest trying to start `krusader` directly from a terminal (konsole or whatever) to see if there is something useful in an error message. Perhaps you need to run revdep-rebuild...
