Sabayon has changed the ebuild, so Openshot can used.

I'm not familiar with openshot at all, perhaps someone else knows of
another overlay you can use that does support pillow.

What I usually is download the sources by hand, run ./configure and see
if the app directly supports pillow and take it from there. A fix
usually just needs a few minor tweaks to the ebuild.

Mmh thats shit because is no alternative present to openshot. Normal is
Sabayon Gentoo Clone so they should fix the ebuild. I were there ask
what they say and decide then.

Openshot as other overlay or Gentoo Ebuild will not give or?

Mike Gilbert's answer earlier is exactly correct. The problem is
openshot from the sabayon overlay - it depends on python-imaging while
everything else depends on pillow.

These two things cannot both be installed at the same time. Hard-masking
pillow might work, but will probably just cause more and different
conflicts.

Your only real choices are to uninstall openshot until the sabayon devs
fix their ebuild, or to fix the ebuild yourself. But there is no portage
magic that can work around these blockers right now.

No, that is not quite what it says.

The blocker says that dev-python/imaging-1.1.7-r2 and
dev-python/pillow-2.0.0-r1 cannot both be installed at the same time
(they conflict with each other).

It looks like imaging and pillow both satisfy virtual/python-imaging but
openshot from sabayon depends on dev-python/imaging (not the virtual),
which is what is really causing all the trouble.

Normally one would unmerge pillow and merge imaging, but your output
shows something is causing pillow to be merged and we can't see what did
that.

Run "emerge -pvuDNt @world" to get a tree view of dependencies and see
what is really pulling in which package.

The problem is media-video/openshot::sabayon, which depends on
dev-python/imaging. We are currrently in the process of replacing this
with dev-python/pillow. Please report this to the Sabayon maintainers.
