btw, the 'vmware-server-console' program requires a -P (port) argument, but i do not understand what kind of port number should i give. i remember while installing the server, a port 902 is opened by default for accessing the guest os. is it the port that the program expected? anyway, i tried with this port without luck. VMWare Server 2 did away with the console. Try connecting your web browser to https://localhost:8333

yeah, i can connect to the web; but if i cannot connect to the vms through the console, i cannot see how they boot.
