Peter has AdBlock on which interprets some of the icon fonts (e.g. FontAwsome) used on some websites as adverts and blocks them. Disabling it and restarting the browser (ought to) make it work. When I was having the weird font issue, firefox was the only thing affected. All other applications would work fine. I actually kept opera around for sites that wouldn't display or print properly, but no longer have to. Dan

Do you have all the required fonts installed? If you look back a couple
months I had unreadable prints and distortion and it turned out to be a
font misconfiguration issue.

be short of some symbols. I've attached two screen shots; in the first, the
peculiar thing next to the text should (I think) be a broad up-arrow; and
the second shows some buttons from twitter which occur in many other sites
too.
Does anyone know what I'm missing?
Google-chrome displays these pages properly.
