gnome is ok now!But i still can't fix my xfce.when i run 'revdep-rebuild -p' every thing is OK! But when i enter my xfce,i just can't find my desktop!The screen is black except the tool bar,and i still can use the items which are on the tool bar. It's not like you haven't mentioned this before but I guess we forgot about it... :p What is the output of: # equery check gnome-vfs # equery check gnome-panel # equery check nautilus Where do you see those error messages? Hi,guys! i can't enter my gnome and the error is: The application gnome-panel has quit unexpectedly. The application nautilus has quit unexpectedly. And when i enter my xfce,my desktop is gone!All is black except the bars in the top of the screen and in the button of the screen. Then when i # revdep-rebuild -p Configuring search environment for revdep-rebuild Checking reverse dependencies... Packages containing binaries and libraries broken by a package update will be emerged. Collecting system binaries and libraries... done. (/root/.revdep-rebuild.1_files) Collecting complete LD_LIBRARY_PATH... done. (/root/.revdep-rebuild.2_ldpath) Checking dynamic linking consistency... done. (/root/.revdep-rebuild.3_rebuild) Assigning files to ebuilds... Nothing to rebuild Evaluating package order... done. (/root/.revdep-rebuild.5_order) Dynamic linking on your system is consistent...
