[gentoo-user] python Tkinter
Hi, I need Tkinter: http://wiki.python.org/moin/TkInter . In /etc/portage/package.use I added: dev-lang/python (-nocxx) (-nothreads) tk trying the package as explained in Step 1 in the above link: $ python Python 2.5.1 (r251:54863, Mar 12 2008, 14:21:54) [GCC 4.1.2 (Gentoo 4.1.2 p1.0.2)] on linux2 Type help, copyright, credits or license for more information. import _tkinter Traceback (most recent call last): File stdin, line 1, in module ImportError: No module named _tkinter Any idea? -- Regards. Did you update python and forgot running python-updater? Python 2.5.1 (r251:54863, Mar 12 2008, 14:21:54) Maybe you can try a python version which is in the tree 2.5.1 is not anymore as i can see where 2.5.2 is the current version avaiable in the tree.
