Is it actually possible to make ssmtp's sendmail send all the mail directed to my local 'root' account to a real email address, such as the one I'm sending this email from ([EMAIL PROTECTED])? If not, would my best bet be to install Postfix?
I tried this in /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf [EMAIL PROTECTED] If I do this, I don't see any mail in my gmail inbox. If I don't set it, I keep getting emails from [EMAIL PROTECTED] saying: Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ----- This is my /etc/ssmtp/ssmtp.conf: mailhub=smtp.gmail.com:587 UseTLS=YES UseSTARTTLS=Yes AuthUser=ploujj AuthPass=gmail-pass FromLineOverride=YES ----- I also learned that /etc/ssmtp/revaliases is not the right place to configure what I want.
