Try vfemail.net, and their free Copper Account.  The only downside I've
noticed that the outgoing queue could be slower sometimes.

Btw, they have interesting privacy features.

Sorry, I overlooked that you are searching a free mail provider.
Mailbox.org isn't free of charge, but it isn't expensive and they claim
to respect privacy.
