Hi, I appreciate your reply but even the admin utility from local host address gives me the same error in seeding a layer group http://localhost:8082/geoserver/gwc/rest/seed/XYZ_Map not only from the internet. and this behavior wasn't exist in the old version it was working great as i did caching many times with localhost address and from the internet on the previous version of geoserver, So, I think that there is a problem in that behaviour of the new version of geoServer and you can check the previous version of geoServer in seeding layers and you can find the differences.. [Geoserver-users] my all data stores are removed from geoserver
hello all, I found something strange when trying to open my geoserver today, all layers that i works on are shown to be not enabled i open my data stores and didn't find any store of my previous exist stores so, need to know what happens and is this a stability problem with geoserver nothing new happened to cause that Regards, Marwa Elsaid -- Beautiful is writing same markup. Hello all, now i get all my stores to sql server and oracle disabled and don't know why this occres I tried to republish my layers again but it shown disabled also + all my layers not appears in layers preview. [Geoserver-users] geoServer and Thematic
Hello all, I'm working on geoServer 2.0.2 have a POI layer that includes many types of POI, like..(Restaurants, hotels,..and so on) I wanna to split it by type to assign different style to each type, but if i do that I will get x number of POI splitting layers this number will be a huge number of layers is there any other way of doing what i need ? To style each type inside the poi layer without splitting it into many layers I heard about the concept of Thematic maps is this concept can solve my problem and is it applicable with geoServer ? Hello all, Thanks paul for your reply… But I wanna to tell you that oracle 10g server is installed on a remote server , and geoserver is installed on my pc “localhost” I’m trying to connect from my local geoserver to oracle server to make a new data store But I couldn’t do that Moreover, I’m not familiar with oracle to know more about it, so I need a sequence of steps to try to fix this errors or to make an oracle datastore from geoserver. Unfortunately it can have a lot of different causes. If you Google ORA-12505 you will find lots of things to try. I'm using geoserver v2.0.2 Oracle Server 10g installed on remote server, also I have an oracle Client 11g for windows server 2008, Remember that the Oracle connection you are trying to establish is from GeoServer to Oracle Server; in your case this appears to be all on the one machine remote server. Is the 11g client you refer to also installed on this machine? If so, be careful about which set of Oracle configuration you are attempting to fix. Multiple Oracle homes is the source of much pain! [Geoserver-users] Error creating datastore to SQL Server 2008
Hi, I am using GeoServer 2.0.2 , SQL Server 2008 , Microsoft SQL Server JDBC Driver 3.0 and a java 1.4 SDK I successfully connected to the sql server, but have a problem with type nvarchar that didn't appear during publishing my layers as a property to be loaded I tried alot of solutions, the last one was to upgrade the java SDK to java 1.6 SDK, but when I do that I couldn't create a SQL Server data store again and have an error while trying to create it. After the previous error with java 1.6 SDK I removed all java versions from my PC and setup the 1.6 SDk version only then, i tried to log on to geoserver but i found the geoserver down inernet explorer can not display the web page It seems that java 1.6 SDK has some issues with geoserver If it is right, I need to know what is the solution to get my server work again ? and if i revert to use the java 1.4 SDK how can i resolve the nvarchar type disappearnce from all layers during publishing them on geoserver.
