Indeed, the recent farting-about with URLs, etc, seems to me a potential symptom of deckchair being moved by someone focussed on "Zounds!" who breaks established iPlayer behaviour without knowing. So the result may be disruption or annoyance for iPlayer users. I'll see if I can find out something more reliable, unless someone else here already has a *reliable* source - i.e. not the DM.
