Thank you. For some reason the PVR wont pick it up for me. Yes - CMD line version seems to work - and is actually quicker!! Chris B. Re: Failed to get version pid metadata from iplayer site
Must admit, I've been caught by this myself on many occasions - the number 1 and the letter l look pretty similar on BBC pages, which is why I've given up typing in the PID and do a cut and paste instead. sure sure and I will be first in line to buy use their paid iPad service when it comes to North America :-) (and hopefully Canada won't be left out!!!) There are many and various proxy and VPN services, free and paid, that people can use if they wish to circumvent geoIP restrictions. However if they value the shows the BBC puts out, and they own an iPad, they should consider subscribing to the BBC's official iPad iPlayer app when it comes out (it'll be about $10 a month from what I've read). ___ get_iplayer mailing list get_iplayer@lists.infradead.org http://lists.infradead.org/mailman/listinfo/get_iplayer

RE: Failed to get version pid metadata
welcome to the game! docoja.com was the first domino to fall! (beebotron referenced it from wy back) like most, if not all, Glype proxies these days, it refuses to return results for hotlinking - i.e. any automated requests vs manually entering URLs through their webpage like I said, xroxy's results can work with get_iplayer with the right syntax! so we're still in business I guess... m From: christop...@custommade.org.uk To: magic_chee...@hotmail.com; get_iplayer@lists.infradead.org Subject: RE: Failed to get version pid metadata Date: Sun, 6 Mar 2011 04:09:49 + A cursory Google reveals a handful of potential results, including http://docoja.com/blue/ Which is running Glype and is hosted on a UK IP.
