[Gimp-user] printing
Hi! I am a FreeBSD user and GIMP user on KDE 4. I got HP business Inkjet 3000 which works great in console and on KDE 4 (LibreOffice...) except GIMP. Looks like that Gutenprint doesn't support the printer. Is it possible to substitute driver from older version, please? Thanks in advance. Hi! My system is FreeBSD and I use KDE 4.4.3. I never had a problem with GIMP from the first version :) but I have now. If I start GIMP from konsole I got: gimp :1: error: unexpected character `\1', expected keyword - e.g. `style' (gimp:46855): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR (container) || widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed (gimp:46855): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkHBox to a GtkFrame, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkFrame can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkHBox (gimp:46855): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_box_pack: assertion `child->parent == NULL' failed gimp :1: error: unexpected character `\1', expected keyword - e.g. `style' (gimp:46855): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR (container) || widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed (gimp:46855): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkHBox to a GtkFrame, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkFrame can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkHBox (gimp:46855): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_box_pack: assertion `child->parent == NULL' failed (gimp:46855): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_icon_info_load_icon: assertion `icon_info != NULL' failed ...and problem is that I don't have widgets in the bottom line in thwe image Window - no units, no zoom...I don't see success bar for example when I use resizing... What should be wrong, please? I am using GIMP very long time but I have one question anywhere: Where is GIMP if we compare the program with commercial Adobe Photoshop and for now with the beta version of Pixel Image Editor. Thanks in advance. P.S. [Gimp-user] photography
Hi! I am new in the Gimp "world'' and I bought Akkana Pecks book Beginning Gimp which is useful but I like something more about photos corrections. If someone, please check on my flickr site there are a fountain photo and on this picture is moire very heavy. Where could I find more information, help how to correct moire? On the picture with ship is heavy "tilted horizon". Okay, with rotating and crop I can correct but on this way I lost a lot of photo. Are there any instructions how to correct tilted horizon for example, please?
