PNG does not support animations. MNG, encapsulating PNG and / or JPEG
data (if I read the docs right), can be used to save anims.

I think it is not supported, try saving one. Also, the developers seem
to be in a reorganization fury, so if no volunteers appear, you will
have to wait.
