I wasn't clear in my first post -- Environment: GIMP 2.6.6; Windows 2000 After File - New to create an image, Filters - Alpha to Logo - (all grayed out) But File - Create - Logos - Text Circle works fine. So I raised a false alarm about Logos - Text Circle but Filters - Alpha to Logo are all grayed out. Sorry for the confusion. Try adding an Alpha channel then it should work.
