I believe that would best be accomplished by configuring your desired
window manager/desktop environment to place gimp on the desired display.
I do this frequently on plasma5/kde5.

I forgot to say "Select Properties" here:

This usually happens if GIMP is running in non-native DPI. Right-click GIMP's
shortcut, select Properties, and make sure that no compatibility options are
enabled on the Compatibility tab (especially none of the DPI-related options
must be set).

[Gimp-user] Melting Image Glitch - Latest Gimp Version - Windows 10 x64

2020-11-15 Thread Jeff Hollis via gimp-user-list
Hello,

Gimp has weird glitching and I need to get some help from a Dev.

As soon as you begin to modify the image it starts to graphically "Melt"...
this is the only word that I can find to describe the glitch.

Please see the attached system specs and a screenshots of the "glitch".

0.jpg = normal pic... freshly loaded from file on desktop.
1.jpg = start of melting after applying a noise filter
2.jpg =  more melting
3.jpg = more melting
4.jpg = this is the "end" result takes about 30 seconds to get to this
point of "melting"

[Gimp-user] Positioning GIMP in the screen

2020-11-15 Thread Jeffery Small via gimp-user-list
Gimp 2.10.22

I have dual screens currently operating a one wide :0.0 display. I would
like to be able to position the GIMP window on the screen with precision as
would typically be done with the X11 -geometry specification. This option
is not supported by GIMP. is there an alternative method for accomplishing
this? Thanks.

[Gimp-user] GIMP Schoology Integration

2020-11-15 Thread TERLECKI JOHN
Hello!

I am wondering if GIMP has an SIS integration setup for Schoology or other
learning management systems? My school district has an interest in using GIMP
over PhotoShop, but we are wondering if there is a way to integrate it into
Schoology.

Please let me know at your earliest convenience!

Thank you!

[Gimp-user] select tool issue

2020-11-15 Thread Hannah Wanna via gimp-user-list
Hi ^^

I really really hope this is the right email to use - I have now run into
this problem twice when working on two different designs of mine and it's
REALLY REALLY annoying! I seriously hope there's a way round it:
So I go to use the "free select tool" or the "ellipse select tool" and
after a little usage, they both end up saying something like 'can't be used
where there's nothing to work on' and the symbol is the usual cross, but
with a circle and line through it (see attached image for what I mean) -
why why why does this happen? :'(

Please please can you help me?

Thank you

Kind regards,
Hannah M
