[Gimp-user] how to use gimp

2022-03-04 Thread 大下 郁斗 via gimp-user-list
You can see a lot of sites that take a screenshot of gimp's screen, put it up
on the web and explain how to use gimp, but do the gimp official allow these
things?

[Gimp-user] Corrupt file

2022-03-04 Thread brigittehawkins--- via gimp-user-list
Dear Sirs,
I have a GIMP file which corrupted itself while I was working on it. I have
already put in quite a lot of work and saved it as I went along so it should be
only the very last part which may not have saved.
If I send it to you either as an attachment, or via a drop box, will you be
able to un-corrupt it and send it back to me?
Thanks
Nick Hawkins

[Gimp-user] Rotating the entire frame of reference

2022-03-04 Thread Jeffery Small
GIMP 2.10.30 on Xubuntu 20.04

While performing other operations, I have found that the entire frame of
reference for gimp (image, guides, etc.) is rotated by holding Shift-B2
(middle mouse button) and dragging the mouse. This always happens
accidentally and I have found no way to reset the view back to normal.
Here are my questions:

1: Is this type of rotation documented in the manual?
2: Why would you want to do this? When you save the "rotated" image it
seems to be the same as "non-rotated".
3: Is there any way to reset the view back to the normal exactly orthogonal
position?
4: Is there a way to disable the Shift-B2 assignment so that this doesn't
happen?

Thanks.

Please tell us what version of GIMP, and what OS you are running.

[Gimp-user] Gimp freezes upon startup

2022-03-04 Thread Danihelle Draklyn via gimp-user-list
Hello,
I hope this is the proper way to contact you for help. I have browsed the
forums and web for help with my issue and have found none. I am a 3D
graphic artist, I primarily use DAZ Studio and GIMP. Gimp was working fine
a day ago, but now it freezes when it firsts boots up, the program will pop
up but no menu's/tools will show up, it will freeze, say
its 'unresponsive', and I will have to exit the program. I have updated to
2.10.30
I am on an MSI RGB Raider with 32GB Ram and an RTX 2060. I seriously need
this for my work as I do not use Photoshop.
