I updated my Kaspersky AV 2012 to Kaspersky AV 2014 on my Windows 7 Netbook. That wasn't a good Idea! Now have also the Drag and Drop Problem on my Netbook! Hmmm Robert. I'm only a User of GIMP not a developer of any other Software. I can't understand the Problem! IMO is the new Save-Command to Save in XCF the only right way. According to my understanding is the JPG not the right Format to save my Work in the Work Process. JPG is the Format for the final Picture and I'm lucky, that GIMP now save the Work in XCF. I try to explain: I open Windows Control Panel/Display. Then I switch Clear Type text off and then on again. Then I changed the Text Size of Menu to 11 and then back to 9. The Window Control Panel/Display must still be open. When I now started GIMP, drag and drop works as it should. Now I can close the Window Control Panel/Display, and as long as I do not close GIMP, everything works fine. But when I close GIMP when the Window Control Panel/Display is closed the Drag and Drop Problem is still there. BTW: 2.8.10 has the same Problem on this System as 2.8.8 I hope it is understandable. [Gimp-user] LOVE thread - single window mode
I like also the single View mode! I like GIMP anyway. But the single-mode also causes, that under the command -View -New View opens a new Tab and not, as I would have wished, a new window which I can take to an 2. Monitor for full size view. Perhaps you could change that so in the future.
