You need to use NULLPTR in header files.
For the Java error, I'm not exactly sure what is going on, but I think this
i the first instance of trying to use a nested type in Gandiva (the type
mapping of i8_ptr_type looks wrong to me). I think you might want to discuss
this PR on the mailing list first as there might be some difficulties here (I'm
not an expert on Gandiva).
