Thanks, I've added it to the download page.

GHC 6.8.1 on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

2007-11-15 Thread Christian Maeder
Dear Intel Mac Users,

I've also created a binary distribution of GHC 6.8.1 for Mac OS X 10.4
(Tiger) that is based on gmp3 and readline5 libraries under /opt/local/
(without framework dependencies). You can set the DYLD_LIBRARY_PATH if
your gmp3 and readline5 libraries are elsewhere.

Christian

I wonder if that distribution would run under Leopard, too.

Hi Christian,

binary distributions of GHC 6.8.1 for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

Great, thanks!

Can this be posted together with the other binary distributions at:

http://haskell.org/ghc/download_ghc_681.html

and also Manuel Chakravarty's Leopard build?

Warning: this binary distribution does NOT contain documentation!

The links to get the documentation are at:

GHC 6.8.1 on Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

2007-11-08 Thread Christian Maeder
Dear Tiger Mac-users,

binary distributions of GHC 6.8.1 for Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) are stored at:

http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/agbkb/forschung/formal_methods/CoFI/hets/intel-mac/versions/ghc-6.8.1-i386-apple-darwin.tar.bz2
and
http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/agbkb/forschung/formal_methods/CoFI/hets/mac/versions/ghc-6.8.1-powerpc-apple-darwin.tar.bz2

As for ghc-6.6.1 both distributions rely on (the universal) GMP and
GNUreadline frameworks found at:
http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/agbkb/forschung/formal_methods/CoFI/hets/mac/GNUreadline-framework.zip
http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/agbkb/forschung/formal_methods/CoFI/hets/mac/GMP-framework.zip
instructions at:
http://www.informatik.uni-bremen.de/agbkb/forschung/formal_methods/CoFI/hets/mac_e.htm

The ppc distribution features the bug:
http://hackage.haskell.org/trac/ghc/ticket/1845

Only HADDOCK documentation is included.
(The message at the end of an installation is wrong anyway, because a
wrong directory is tested:
Warning: this binary distribution does NOT contain documentation!)

I haven't checked the installation against a test-suite (could someone
put one up for download?), but the distributions work for our purposes
and might be useful for you, too.
