Solaris is not Linux; you might look at crle for shared library issues, or
set LD_LIBRARY_PATH in the wrapper scripts.

Or I can (re)configure with LDFLAGS=-L/destination/path/lib 
-R/destination/path/lib which is easier. 
However, this was not my question!
