Thank you very much!
Everything is working now.

I've gathered several technical difficulties such as such that I've
encountered during setup. Maybe in the future, once I have better
understanding of Gluster. I could update documentation and help future
users :)

You still have to install rpcgen before building. The build process isn't
going to do that for you.

I see:
[root@localhost src]# ./configure --without-libtirp
configure: WARNING: unrecognized options: --without-libtirp

should it be '--without-libtirpc' instead of '--without-libtirp' ?
