Hi.

If you need to parse input from a script, maybe it would be better to use
xml output:

# gluster --xml volume status


This should be easily parsable by any standard xml library or tool.

Would you know if it's possible to format gluster cmd output?
What frustrates me personally is "forced" line wrapping, as
example of:

$ gluster volume status
