About mm-common === The mm-common module provides the build infrastructure and utilities shared among the GNOME C++ binding libraries. It is only a required dependency for building the C++ bindings from the gnome.org version control repository. An installation of mm-common is not required for building tarball releases, unless configured to use maintainer-mode. Release archives of mm-common include the Doxygen tag file for the GNU C++ Library reference documentation. It is covered by the same license as the source code it was extracted from. GNOME Games 2.28.0
Versus 2.26.x, this release brings a Gnometris rewrite that depends on Clutter 1.0 for the animation engine. The previous version of Gnometris was unplayable. GNOME Games now also defaults to depending on libcanberra-gtk for the sound engine. When using PulseAudio, the games benefit from sound-daemon provided effect mixing similar to the experience provided by the SDL back-end. When not using PulseAudio, if the underlying ALSA configuration supports it, dmix or hardware mixing should provide adequate mixing for sound effects. The gstreamer back-end is now removed and the SDL back-end is deprecated. For packages, the default build mode with automake 1.11 or higher is to now suppress verbose compile information to make it easier to catch warnings. Normal automake verbosity flags will disable this suppression. Finally, the experimental Clutter version of aisleriot is now available with --enable-aisleriot-clutter. For distributions that are feeling adventurous, we are not aware of any regressions in the Clutter version. It should be safe to enable this feature if you feel that your 3D driver situation is adequate. GDM2 2.28.0 (stable), the New World Order Release
The 2.28.0 release is a stable release of the GNOME Display Manager (GDM) program with the following bug fixes and improvements: - Now GDM supports the ability to specify the automatic/timed login user via a script via the same interface that the old GDM supported. - Now the user's dmrc and face image files are stored in /var/cache/gdm, so that the login process does not need to access the user's $HOME directory before authentication. Refer to bug #565151. - Fix the login GUI options widget so the language/session/layout choices are not reset after a failed login. - Fix language dialog so it does not crash if the user click's the OK button when no language is selected. - Fix to ensure that the login dialog regains focus after the language or layout dialogs are used. - The language dialog has improved logic to sort the language names more correctly. - Make sure to check error variable is not NULL before referencing it in the gdm-user-manager code. - Make sure to not print NULL strings since this causes crashes on some platforms. - Improve documentation.
