POT files in VCS
A little question: here is any reason to keep POT files in VCS? I'm asking this 'cause I'm sure there is a consensus n GNOME modules about don't include them, but I didn't find any guideline on live.gnome.org. I need a good reason to convince Gustavo to remove webkit.po from svn.webkit.org :) ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

U ... so much for the thread title. Well, hopefully this will be available soon. I can not afford gigabytes needed to clone all the project of single gnome-?.?? version ... I will try to update latest changes in 2.26 myself, but still; to whom can I send translations for upload before the web interface gets online??? Thanks. ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

I need a good reason to convince Gustavo to remove webkit.po from svn.webkit.org :) The simple reason is the general rule that you don't store in VCS generated files. In GNOME, POT files can be simply generated with intltool-update -p, so there is no need to store the file in the VCS. There might be that certain modules requires more sophisticated procedure to generate a pot file, so they provide a pot file in the VCS to simplify the task of translators. Re: Requesting String freeze break for Deskbar-Applet
Le mardi 07 avril 2009, à 17:11 +0200, Sebastian Pölsterl a écrit : Hi! I'm requesting string freeze break for Deskbar-Applet to fix bug 577649 [1]. On some systems the templates directory can not be retrieved, therefore the templates module crashes. The patch [2] checks if the templates directory can be retrieved and if it exists and only then the templates module can be enabled. If one of the checks fails an error message is displayed when you select the templates modules from the list of modules with errors. Hrm. Why not just enable the module anyway and not crash?
