Re: [Anjuta-devel] Anjuta-Extras is now real
I finally had the time to move those plugins which have non-gnome dependencies to the anjuta-extras module. They remain first-class citiziens of course and I plan to release anjuta-extras will every anjuta release. This will affect Anjuta 2.27.x onwards or will it affect Anjuta 2.26.x too? What we have now is a good compromise between keeping all history in the most correct form and how much work we want to put into it. Again, no data is lost, we just have a few tags with some extra files in them. How about deleting the broken tags from the git repos and keeping a little note somewhere buried deep in the docs/ dirs. Someone who cares about digging through history (like me) will then know to hit the historical CVS / SVN repositories for these specific missing tags. Its not like someone is going to re-roll tarballs from these tags ever again (or at least the chance is ~ ɛ). I don't see a good reason to delete the tags. They take virtually no storage, and are mostly accurate except for the extra files. Last but not least, they're a great help when browsing through history since most repo viewers will annotate commits with the tag or branch if one or more exists (for example, the GTK_2_16_0 tag on this page: http://git.gnome.org/cgit/gtk+/log/?ofs=50) It would be better if you used more git compliant tags like v2.16.0. Adding WebKitGTK+ to the translation stats pages
Hello, We have recently added l10n support for WebKitGTK+. We are still in the process of tagging translatable messages, but we should be good to start receiving translations from all interested languages. I would like to request that WebKitGTK+ be added to the 'freedesktop.org' section of modules, if possible. The svn is here: http://svn.webkit.org/repository/webkit/trunk Notice that the l10n support and build system are a bit unorthodox because webkitgtk+ uses a non-recursive build system. Oh really? ;-) Probably the better way to go would be to try to change the current TP state, not just because it's being actively used by some maintainers and translators. Just avoiding it in this case doesn't improve the situation. So GNOME translators might want to start discussion with the TP coordinators/admins about the future of the TP. Anything is better than that[1], for example the fake module above (just like with system-tools-backends) or the I don't know the technical details, but if I understand it correctly you don't necessarily work with the latest code (thus strings) in the case of repository clone either. Transifex instance hosted at Fedora[2], even with the privacy issues it has (i.e. translators have to sign a license agreement and give out personal details, which some people wouldn't like). Yes, we had this discussion last year. That is, discussion about avoiding the use of downstream infrastructure for upstream modules l10n. Just to avoid confusion, by downstream here I mean the distributor's infrastructure, whether it's translate.fedoraproject.org or translations.launchpad.net.
