New team for Mon (mnw)

2012-07-27 Thread Mon Locale
Dear Translation Project Manager,

I am Sumit Punnakari, would like to start a new translation team for Mon
language (ISO-639-3: mnw).

I've already checked in the Damned Lies, and there is no Mon in there.

I recently participated in Mon Localization Team, based in Thailand. We
have 37 members in the team, all Mon speakers. We hope to be able to
translate Gnome as well as all other Open Source related documents. Please
accept this application. Thank you!

Yours,
Sumit

No worries. My theory is that the winner is the one with the biggest

Pick the one which appeals to you and we shall go there. If no one has
any idea, the first two were mentioned by both of my colleagues so that
could narrow it down.

We'll get reservations and taxis, so no need to worry about those sorts
of logistics.

Big thanks to Joanmarie, the Board and the local team for organizing this!

We wish we could do a lot more, because you all do a tremendous amount

2012-07-27 Thread Fran Dieguez

Hi all,

after some days of hard work, I have some time to read and answer some
mail.

I want to go with all of you to the dinner as I live really close to
Coruña. My preference is Sunday evening.

O Bebedeiro restaurant is a superb typical galician food restaurant
but according their website Sunday evening the restaurant is closed (
http://www.adegaobebedeiro.com).

Artabria restaurant is located at the center of Coruña, so after the
dinner we can take some beers without walking a lot.

The other two restaurants seems pretty cool but I don't know anything
about them.

So I don't have a clear preference about the restaurant so is up to you
(or people who know more about the city of Coruña) to choose one.

What about create a G+ event?

Cheers.

Wow! That's amazing! 37!? Great!

You should read this document on GNOME's wiki:

And maybe, does it have a glibc locale already Mon?, you should also
read this:

Let us know if you find any blocker on your road, we, the Translation
Team, are more than happy to help you on any problem you have.

Welcome to GNOME!

Heh, never mind. I think it won't be needed for now. Let me just translate

Send me at least one translated (can be partially translated) file, so
the statistics for Silesian language could be created. Then someone
from Coordination Team will be able to create a team with you as a
  coordinator.

So I committed Przemysław's translation of gnome-menus and now there
is Damned Lies page for Silesian:

 http://l10n.gnome.org/languages/szl/

Coordination Team: could you please create a team with Przemysław as a leader?

Hi,

Team created, but I couldn't find Przemysław, so please, regsister on
l10n.gnome.org and let us know your about it. Then I will add you as the
coordinator of Silesian.

Great to see a new language coming to GNOME!!

Cheers,

Do you mean the calendar on GNOME Shell?
If so, you can change date formats by editting the po of gnome-shell.

The following is one of the date format strings in the po.

#. Translators: Shown on calendar heading when selected day occurs on
current year
#: ../js/ui/calendar.js:701
msgctxt calendar heading
msgid %A, %B %d
msgstr

See strftime manual for the format specification. (run man strftime )

Happy translating!
