Коростіль and Nazariy,

No need to bother GNOME doc team, as Daniel's comment is correct.
"/usr/share/locale/uk/LC_MESSAGES" stores only GUI translations, while
"/usr/share/help/uk/" stores the Help files.

Of course, this pathname may vary according to the distribution. For
example, see Arch Linux gedit's file list:
https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/gedit/files/

Run this from the directory your po file is in.

I think there might be a mistake in the gestures page. Switching
applications gesture shows three fingers held on the picture, while
the description says "Hold two fingers on the surface while tapping
with the third." Is the picture or the text correct? I don't have a
touchscreen to check it, unfortunately.

I'm also not sure if it's reasonable to change it now anyway, as
translations are almost complete and 3.14 should be out any minute
now. If you could confirm the correct gesture, then we would be able
to fix it in at least some of the translations.

Thank you for your work and best regards,

Hmm, is there a specific reason why you translate a one year old
version? Just curious - 3.14 is around the corner.

gedit-help translation problem

2014-09-24 Thread Nazariy

Hi all!

I am sorry for disturbing you. I hope maybe you will help me. I'm
currently translating /gedit/documentation into Ukrainian. I downloaded
the /.po/file "/gedit-help.gnome-3-//10//.uk.po/", translated it and
saved it. After I got /.mo/file, I put it into
“//usr/share/locale/uk/LC_MESSAGES/”, but that didn't help. The help
guide remained in English. Changing the name of the file to
"/gedit-help.mo/" didn't help too. What have I done wrong?

P.S.: My /gedit/version is *3.**10**.4*; my /Gnome/version is
*3.**9**.90*; my OS is /Ubuntu/*14.04*.

Thank you all for any help!
