Croeso!

I think your the second person in ~6 months to enquire about y Gymraeg tim,

Unfortunately it seems the translation coordination team have been busy,
hopefully they'll be able to help you move forward soon, as it would be great
to get that project going again.

Perhaps one day I'll get back to dysgu'r Gymraeg,

It's the new ‘Blueprint’ language, not played with it myself but I *think*
treating it as C will work for string extraction

Hey everyone

I'm planning to tag 0.4.0 at some point on the 24th

For those unaware KGX is a terminal emulator currently used on ‘GNOME mobile’
systems, though not mobile specific

Of course the usage is valid, just not in every day language (vs legal) and I
suspect confusing for both users and translators

If this is the description of the button then probably?

Assuming the layout is

[ [Name/Number] [] ]

I'd expect the row to be read something like so

"row John button Call"
"row Jane button Call"

Of course I'm sure the a11y people have a better answer here

You can set the relationship between the two AtkObjects

It's certainly not ideal, though adding a new language isn't generally a
newcomer-y thing and requires specific people to help. Generally if you were
having problems working with gettext or general d-l issues more of us could
assist.

We're a small group of volunteers…

I'm not sure it's an excuse - Especially with GUADEC this last week (as well as
recent weather issues) it's perfectly possible the relevant people are
unavailable.

Generally we keep this mailing list fairly quiet so when someone can't help,
even if they've seen the message, they often won't reply

I'm not sure a PR department would have helped here

I assume there is missing context here (also: card planche? I assume you mean
carte blanche but it doesn't quite fit?)

Well ideally nothing escalates in the first place of course

Yes but that's a fairly long standing issue and as it isn't a security issue
I'm not sure it's worth an exception from the usual process

And I encourage you to seek approval, however it's not really your place to
decide if your own break should be approved even if you do coordinate a
language

I assumed everyone knew about that already, was a bit confused that half the
comments here seem to
propose doing what we are already doing

Personally I'd like to see this integration improved beyond a simple link -
even if it's generating {M,P}Rs
instead of committing directly as the various xdg modules often have user
facing strings but are generally
untranslated. They may not be GNOME projects but things like malcontent or
fwupd do provide strings
used by the likes of gnome-software so are part of the "GNOME experience"

check team policies etc)
