2008-05-06 Thread wadim dziedzic
hello everybody,

I would like to announce that Artur Flinta has resigned from the role of
coordination for Polish. We have agreed, that I will be his sucessor.

Once more big thanks to Artur for his work!

regards,
Wadim

p.s. could someone write here or point me to a description on how to
switch the bugzilla assignee and team description on l10n.gnome.org?

Re: Verbs form in UI actions

In what form (Infinitive, Noun, Imperative) are UI actions
like Open, Close, Show ... translated in your language?
Do you have any idea about what is intended by the verb form in English,
 is
 Imperative or infinitive?

IMHO imperative - in polish we translate this as commands for computer,
but there are languages in which are translated as infinitive form
(german, I think).
This depends on conventions used in Your language.

cvs assistance needed (probably)

2006-11-17 Thread wadim dziedzic
hello,

I'm a member of polish gnome translation team.
Polish translation got a massive update for 2.16.1, but now it appears
that we have nobody with cvs access among us. It seems that our
coordinator (Artur Flinta) is off-line at the moment and most probably
will be offline for all this week-end. He started a cvs account grant
procedure for me, but at the moment we have no response from
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

So I would like to know possibly exact deadline date for translation cvs
commit and if there is somebody who would help us with the commit in
case we don't contact Artur before the deadline. (I know that this idea
is rather unusual, but maybe as an exception, someone of You will help
us ;-))

thanks in advance,
