Hi,
thank you both for a quick answer and an approval. I committed the
change to the sources.

[evolution] String freeze break approval plea

2022-03-01 Thread Milan Crha via gnome-i18n
Hi,
I'd like to ask for string freeze break approval, due to additional
changes for:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/1373

The thing is that the change (already committed) could be harmful for
some users, hiding important information from a meeting invitation mail
due to the sender's software not providing that information in their
description. I made some improvements and attached them there, but
they, unfortunately, add two new translatable strings and change an
existing string (which is in the GSettings only). The new strings are:

"Show description provided by the sender"
"Hide description provided by the sender"

and the changed string is from:

Set to true to show invitation description as provided by
the sender, if such is available; otherwise generate the invitation
   description from the iCalendar component

to:

Set to true to show invitation description as provided by
the sender, if such is available

I only removed the second half of the string.

I believe it'll be better to have this fixed/changed for the upcoming
stable, thus this freeze break approval plea.

Thanks and bye,
Milan

Evolution: String freeze break approval plea

2020-08-31 Thread Milan Crha via gnome-i18n
Hello,
there is opened a merge request [1] against Evolution from a
contributor, which is quite simple (code wise speaking), but it
contains two translatable strings. One for an option name ("Started
Tasks"), the other for its tooltip (might be something along these
lines, even we are still discussing the final version "Filters for
tasks that either do not have a start date or the start date is earlier
than the time the filter is selected at").

I'd like to include the change in the 3.38.0, especially because it's
the contributor's effort, though the contributor filled the merge
request "too late".

Would you mind to approve it, please?

Thanks and bye,
Milan

Hello,
a user reported a typo in a translatable string [1]. I can fix it, but
it would break existing translations, even it is visible only in
GSettings, dconf-editor and similar tools. The faulty string had been
added before 3.33.1 release.

Can I correct the string, please?

Hi,
interesting. I copied the Makefile.am code from evolution's appdata

 Hello,
I'd like to ask for a string freeze break approval for evolution-3-12
branch (evolution 3.12.x is shipped with GNOME 3.14) for a change to
add .metainfo.xml files for junk filtering plugins, thus they would be
shown as addons in GNOME Software, in case distribution packagers pack
them in a separate packages. I committed the change into the master
branch already [1], it contains 4 new strings.

I added similar files to evolution-ews and evolution-mapi too, but it
was simpler there, because I used already existing translated strings.

Hi,
thanks, I just committed the change. I'll try to not forget to paste
the string inline the next time. I also realized that there are
actually only two untranslated strings, as the SpamAssassin and
Bogofilter has its translations (in some languages).
