But Gunter's issue happened after he only asked his bank for the current account balance. Thanks Frank That was pretty much what i thought the situation would be. Perhaps we should add a note about the flow somewhere That is easily accessible to users in the documentation so that users have a better idea of where to look for up to date recent and rapidly changing information. I will setup a Wiki page detailing what I discovered about the effects of Chris's fix in 3.9 even though the plan is to drop it from 3.10 for the moment. Gunter Kamp seemed to have a related but slightly different issue associated with AQbanking. Banks here haven't generally allowed any direct server access other than downloads from their web portals so i have no familiarity with AQ banking David - David Cousens -- Sent from: http://gnucash.1415818.n4.nabble.com/GnuCash-Dev-f1435356.html ___ gnucash-devel mailing list gnucash-devel@gnucash.org https://lists.gnucash.org/mailman/listinfo/gnucash-devel
[GNC-dev] Documentation flow; was: About 3.9 and reconciliation balances
Hi David, starting from the accessability, I think the practial persistence is as follows: IRC < email < wiki:FAQ < wiki:theme_page < docs Examples: Geert or John explain me something in IRC and I am pretty sure I will need it next year again, I copy it in a page below Project_Administration, Coding_Style, or wherever it belongs. Sometimes I am tired to explain the same content on the mailing list (or IRC) again and again. If a page for the theme exists in the wiki, I update the page, else add a section to the FAQ. >From time to time one can go through the wiki and move te content of related questions into a thematic page, replacing the FAQ content by links. I think also, the wike is a good place for cooperative developemet of articlesd. Finally this thematic pages should become incorporated in the docs. The program should not require an internet connection, so links to the wiki are not nice. Most users get the docs together with the program installed.
