Re: [GNC] GNC] Mutual Fund - Price Import from csv, "Namespace could not be understood"

2021-08-07 Thread Deva -
Ashok,

You can check/try the following -

a. In the security editor, confirm that INDIAMUTUAL is in fact the namespace
used for those 2 MF ISINs.
b. I use the CSV importer every month to do just what you are trying to do.
Only difference from your data is that I use the date format in -mm-dd
format (in the data file) and in the import screen, I choose the y-m-d option
instead.
c. Actually, this might be your problem because your dates in the CSV file are
dd/mm/yy, whereas the importer is expecting d-m-y. (separator is -, but you
have /).

Otherwise, your settings and data looks ok.

Cheers,
Deva

Hello everyone, trying this list for the first time, I hope I am following
the instructions.

I have downloaded and prepared an import.csv file with 2 lines as:
05/08/21, INDIAMUTUAL,INF209KA12Z1, INR,143.021
05/08/21, INDIAMUTUAL,INF209K01546, INR,27.1064

Where the columns are Date, Namespace, From Symbol, To Currency, Amount

The 'Namespace', & 'Currency To' dropdown comes up with an error
respectively as:
Error 1: Column 'From Namespace' could not be understood. Value can't be
parsed into a valid namespace.
Error 2: Column 'Currency To' could not be understood. Value can't be
parsed into a valide commodity.

Could somebody please explain to me how to import the prices? I think I'm
doing it right - there's a screenshot below.

The above example has 2 different mutual funds. Once the concept is proved,
I plan to update many (~20) mutual fund prices from a single import csv
file on a weekly basis.

Thanks,
Ashok

till so far. Now trying importer to add prices.

Hi John,
Removed leading spaces.

Re: [GNC] Mutual Fund - Price Import from csv, "Namespace could not be understood"

2021-08-07 Thread David Carlson
Hi,

I have not tried that particular method to import prices but I would
suggest verifying that you created the csv file using the the same encoding
that you are using for the import and that the namespace, symbol and
currency already exist in your data file.

Good Luck

[GNC] Printing customer statements, two copies, two-up

2021-08-07 Thread rmomxtx
We are running GnuCash 3.11 on a Windows 10 computer in Spanish.

We print out a current month customer statement in two copies two-up on a
horizontal page orientation. That gives us two copies by cutting the sheet
in half, one for the customer and one for our files. Since moving to a new
computer and updating GnuCash the printer kicks out a blank page first
before printing two copies of the statement on a single page. The printer is
an Epson L4150 series inkjet.

Could it be that we need to adjust the margins on the report somehow in the
customer statement in the GnuCash 3.11? We use letter size paper, not A4 as
is customary in much of the rest of Latin America. Is there a way to adjust
the margins so a short report that only takes up half a page will print
without kicking out an empty page? Any new features in 4.6 that might help?

Is there a way to make one of the other stylesheets the default report
format? The default customer statement is very small print and a very small
table when printed two-up. Default in the Spanish version is called "por
omisión." I’ve researched the manuals, FAQ’s and the wiki. I’m not quite
getting how the adjustments in edit/style sheets/tables work.

Thanks,

Roger Oliver

[GNC] Income statement report change

2021-08-07 Thread Gerald
Hello

I am trying to modify the standard Income statement report to show the
account code. This option is available in the standard Account Summary
report but not the Income Statement.

With a lot of help from the wiki I got as far as replicating the standard
report and adding a boolean option to show account code. But it is only a
tickbox option that doesn't actually do anything!

I have now reached the limit of my technical ability and need some help
with making the option actually change the report produced.

Ideally the result will be just like the Account Summary report, ie the
account code is the first column then the account title. However, it could
be any column as long as it is tabular.

Is anyone able to help with the report code change required?

Many thanks
