[GNC] i did it!

2022-12-14 Thread Orith
Thank you all for trying to help me to upload the Gnu 4.12 on my new Lenovo
laptop with windows11.
I finally followed, step by step, [
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OchTcwdf10U=203s] and it worked!
there are changes from earlier versions and also there are no duplicates of
saved files showing on the desktop. It works!! I haven't been that happy
and relieved for a while.
Thanks again everyone.

[GNC] accounts list

2022-12-12 Thread Orith
It seems I missed explaining myself. It is not the data files that I
am looking for. It's a new year and I can start from scratch to fill the
files. When I downloaded GnuCash from the beginning it did not give me the
opportunity to build a new accounting files tree. It always did before.
This time I have to do it one by one on my own.
Is that the new format of GnuCash 4.12?

[GNC] questions.

2022-12-11 Thread Orith
1. I got a New computer - Lenovo. no gnu-cash from previous computers, i
cleaned it out to make sure the viruses did not come to the new laptop.
Thus, I need to download the new version 4/11. When it is opened, no list
of accounts are available, I need them. tried to delete and restore and
tried again, still no accounts.

2. I have used Gnu for over 10 years. always happy. This time, when I
tried to make my own accounts and save them, they were on the desktop. I
tried to change the settings, and it gave me a new window, I'm just
getting confused.

thanks for your help in advance
