isn't that the whole *point* of reconciliation after all ... ?

(so i would call you "careful" before "old school" (but i'm not prone to
name caling anyway))

there are no gnu folks; it's not like a corporation; no one is trying to

humans have a great ability to not see what is right in front of their
faces. talk to some of your least favorite family members or
acquaintances if you don't believe me. so just use those skills to
ignore this filtering prefix that is widely used and appreciated and
very helpful to many of the list readers.

dank.

i thought it might be something like that. installing and uninstalling
guile-2.0 or gnucash didn't help. i also had guile-1.8 on there because
it was used for lilypond [musical notation] ... so i got rid of that.
anyway, regardless of what i've done so far, i still get the same errors.

i saw some notes about debian stretch and guile-2.0 and lilypond in a
quick search, so i am apparently not the only one. fortunately, i can
run gnucash on a freebsd host without complication, so that is where i
am going to have to do it until debian gets this shit figured out ...

once again, thanks for helping me out here.

debian stretch upgrade has made gnucash unworkable

2017-08-11 Thread johnny saylor

hi

i'm not sure what's wrong, but gnucash no longer starts up for me. i've
attached the screen dump which may help someone smarter than me to
figure out what's happened.

to reiterate, once i upgraded my debian installation to stretch i've had
nothing from gnucash. i've tried uninstall and reinstalling ...

any help or pointers would be warmly welcomed.

danke
