Re: [GNC] Font size in reports
Jill, Stylesheets *are* global in that any one of them can be applied to any report. There's one stylesheet named Default that all standard reports use unless told otherwise in report options, so if you want a change to apply to all reports--and you probably do in this case--then you edit the Default style sheet. Report options aren't sticky, meaning that the next time you run that report you'll have to open report options and set the stylesheet again. Once you've configured a report to your liking you can save those option settings with the Save Config button in the tool bar. To run a saved configuration use Reports>Saved Configurations to get a dialog box listing your saved reports from which you can select and run one of them. Re: [GNC] font size how to increase
There is no ‘built-in’ CSS for GnuCash. You have to create the file. If it already exists, that means you created it long ago. The first location will apply to only GnuCash. The second will apply to all GTK apps you have installed on the system. The GTK3 page of the wiki should explain it more completely. There is also a diagram there for each OS showing file storage locations that GnuCash uses or accesses for both the 2.6x. and 3.x series. If you upgraded from 2.6.x to 3.x, the files might not have been copied over to their new home, or else were copied and the old ones not deleted. You can clean up as you feel necessary for your situation. Here is the confusing part that I see You say C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\GnuCash\gtk.css Do you put the CSS here to override the built-in ? I do have it in C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\gtk-3.0\gtk.css Why is it here and not the other, I don't know. Maybe from upgrading from a long time ago. OK. Unfortunately I have not tried messing with font size in GnuCash on Win 10. Fair enough. Operating system: Windows 10. Installed from a downloaded file from the GnuCash website, an upgrade from I think 2.18, something like that. I read the instructions at the GTK3 page. Re: [GNC] Font size in journals ver 3.5 build 3.5+ (2019-03-30)
Actually, there are several rabbit holes there but they mostly relate to the operating system that your instance of GnuCash happens to be running in. As Tommy Trussell mentions, we cannot help much without knowing which you are using. It would be very difficult to make a FAQ entry that would not become obsolete faster than last year's phone book (remember those?), so the best advice is to ask again here or learn more about your operating system. Re: [GNC] font size
For simplicity, * { font-size: 12px; } is the minimum needed to change the size. You can use the shorthand ‘font’ property as you indicated, but you have to include the font-family for it to work. Of course, using it, you can also change the font if you wish. [GNC] font size
I have the same question as Alex Garcia, below. I am a Mac user of GnuCash and the font size has suddenly increased and is too big since updating to V3.3 I looked at the GnuCash wiki re GTK3 but I’m not technical enough to understand. I tried to enter "gtk-query-settings theme” into the terminal but it came back with there is no such command. I looks like I might need to install a tool GTK3 and then learn how to run it. I hope I am mistaken here - all I want to do is to put the font size back to where it was before the upgrade to V3.3. Surely that shouldn’t be that hard. Any Idea how to do it?
