My message was hasty, as I subsequently realized that editing the Display Symbol merely caused the related line to be redisplayed. The redisplay does eliminate the double spacing, but not the root of the problem. If the file or account tab is closed and reopened, the extra spacing reappears. No, not limited to securities accounts. There might be more than one cause, but it also happens for any account with a notes content that spans more than one line. There's already a working bug report on it. While I concur that it is showing only accounts related to securities, I am doubtful that it has to do with security symbol. My right most column is 'Total (Period)' in which it does display symbol in accounts, and those symbols are the same ones that are used to download quotes using yahoo_json source. I went as far as removing 'Display Symbol' field but the uneven line spacing remained. And it is also not consistent in that I have uneven spacing in accounts for which I download OFX file format for transactions or the one that is manually maintained. [GNC] Uneven line spacing in Accounts list since 4.11
Confirming that uneven line space is happening for my install of GNC 4.11 on Windows 10 OS with dark theme. I only see uneven spacing for the investment accounts only and no other types like bank and credit card account types. I had this problem in GNC 4.10 but it was due to special characters in the Description of the account. I have never added any notes to any of these accounts. Subsequent to that it was cleaned up and spacing was fine until I upgraded to 4.11. I'm going to hazard a guess that the note field 'has wrap' set to true in the GUI code. I don't have time at the moment, but if someone can fire up their GTK Inspector and confirm, I'd bet that is the cause. I do see it as well in Windows 11, but I'd be surprised if the Windows version has anything to do with it.
