Thanks for the information Frank. However, I was obtaining CAD quotes
up until about a week ago. Nothing has changed on my system and I have
had FQ 1.47 since at least the beginning of the year.
I also get quotes for HKD and AUD currently.
Other than building the latest GC from source, there is no way to obtain
later releases of GC. I have had high hopes for Snap and Flatpak, but
neither connect with FQ.

Running LInux Mint 18.2 and GC 2.6.17.
I am not sure, GC 2.6.17 can work with the FQ changes.
I tried running from the command line but the only thing I get is:
Finance::Quote fields Gnucash uses:
symbol: CAD (deduced) <=== required
date: ** missing ** <=== recommended
currency: ** missing ** <=== required
last: <=\
nav: <=== one of these
price: <=/
timezone: <=== optional
** This stock quote cannot be used by GnuCash!
Any ideas much appreciated.
