Re: Gnucash + mysql
Didn't think about that possibility. Let me try this out too. Do you know whether there are plans to extend usage of mysql in gnucash? Thanks. Company sponsored stock plan
Trying to set the following up, but can‘t get it right. I hope to find help here. That is the scheme: The base currency is in €. 1) monthly, a certain amount (in €) is taken off salary and invested in stocks (in USD) 2) the company adds X-% on top of the amount and stock (in USD) is bought 3) Reporting is done in base currency €. Once this is done, I need to add quarterly dividends, but I believe I saw something in the manual. [GNC] Online quotes
Good day! I installed gnucash-5.0 on fedora core 38 perl-Finance-Quote.noarch-1.5400-3.fc38 and perl-Date-Manip.noarch-6.91-1.fc38 are installed too. It appears that the auxiliary programs like gnc-fq-dump, gnc-fq-check, gnc-fq-update were not installed during compilation. How can I fix this? [GNC] Company plan for stocks and stock options
Fairly new to gnucash and not a finance export, I want to run all my personal finances with this great tool. I installed 5.0 by compiling it under fedora core 37. I started adding normal daily expenses and all look fine. One of the doubts I have is how do I correctly add a company plan for stock options and stock plan that get vested/distributed every year. As I don't buy them there is no cash leaving my bank account. Re: [GNC] Company plan for stocks and stock options
Hi Stan / Murugan all, Thanks for picking up and providing your insight. That was very helpful. I would assume that options and stocks I have not exercised yet cannot get managed in gnucash? Only when exercising options into stocks or selling stock or options? The objective with gnucash is that I want to manage personal finances; expense control, planning, etc.. Hello community. I run gnucash 5.1 under Fedora Core 38, mariadb I had created an account with a separator ":". After getting the error message (please see attached), I changed the account name accordingly. But the error message does not go away. The message pops up when starting gnucash and when trying to save the Alpha Vantagate Api key. Maybe that explains also why I cannot get online quotes to work How can I fix this? [GNC] Setting up gnucash / stocks
Hello community! I am running the latest gnucash under Fedorca Core. Finance::Quote is installed and I get quotes for Funds and Stocks. EUR is the System Currency. The Stock Quotes are in USD Did I set up the initial balance correctly for Stocks (please see attached screenshot)? I used the Stock Assistant whose transactional currency is in EUR, but the stock quotes are in USD. Does this work? The reporting of the values in EUR does not seem to be correct. How do I set up currency correctly? In my setup, is USD or EUR the Security? Thanks for your help.
