[GNC] first post

2024-04-03 Thread tburmas

Hello,

Apologies if this is the wrong list to send this to.  I wanted to
express my appreciation for this program.  I'm coming from Quickbooks
which has served me well but I'm tired of the costs increasing, every
few years losing support and being tied to Intuit.  I love how GNUcash
has been in development for many years, is lightweight and powerful.
To those who have worked on it, thank you.

One suggestion I have as a small business owner: add a COGS (cost
of goods sold) and an advertising account as part of the new file wizard
for chart of accounts.

[GNC] how to find open invoices

2024-04-13 Thread tburmas

Hello,

I often have invoices that are open (in progress) that are not
ready to post.  Is there a way to see a list of these?  The only way I
have found to do so is to remember ahead of time a customer has an open
invoice and find it.  This is quite error prone.

Thank you,

Ted

[GNC] sales tax liability report?

2024-05-07 Thread tburmas

Hello,

Is there a way to have a single report that shows sales tax
liabilities?  This would need to have income and liabilities in one
report, which I am not sure can be done (at least i haven't found it yet).

Thank you,

Ted
