OR are you the Managing Director of KOC, KPC, KAC etc Are you by any Chance shovelling shit in Kuwait By saying that Goans settled abroad for the sake of their Children (Bhurgheank lagon Kortanv ) , Are you able to tell me as to why you landed in Kuwait if not for your own betterment and that of your Offspring. Generally Speaking I have not seen any Goans shovelling shit abroadit is a appalling to see one Goan calling fellow Goans like this...REAL CRAB MENTALITY. Remember the old Goan tale of the Dog's Tail kept in the pipe for many years for straightening...Never improve..Not A Chance...Noveau Riche should we say..Money cannot buy everything. We Overseas Goans are required only for Remittances of forex to build up India's Foreign Cash pile... in Indian Banks...Question here: How many Catholics are employed in Goan banks?...The Government promises a lot to NRIs when MPs visit foreign countries on Pleasure Trips..Courtesy the Goan/Indian Tax Payer..Dual Citizenship/Overseas Indian Citizenship Hello it is not a Dual Citizenship but merely a Sticker facilitating ones return to India sans a Visa.Sure that comes at a hefty fee( in Dollars!). Limitation to Advanced Education, Health, Professional Facilities based either on Political /Communal/Caste Patronage or Rampant Corruption is another example which keeps many Goans from returning home. There are several others who have left Goa ( both Hindus and Catholics) for other reasons i.e Endless Land Cases before the Courts..The Law taking its own course..Yeah Right, Corrupt Administration, Deteriorating Law and Order situation or Shall we say Law of the Jungle etcProperty Encroachments etc etc.. Golden Rule: Live and Let Live. If the reader feels Goans in these countries are so bad..So be it!..They are happy in whatever they do.. I am certain that comments like the one above should not be tolerated nor accepted for posting on Goanet. The reason for posting the article Rooting for Goa on the Net is to encourage more persons to do something for their native land. Victor Rangel- Ribeiro recently brought us yeast from the West. It will hopefully help us make better Kokum and Jamun wine. Bosco D'Mello in Canada is helping us to get information across as is Gaspar Almeida in the Arabian Gulf. Domnic writes for Goencho Ulo from Saudi Arabia and Ben Antao helps to recharge its coffers whenever we are down and out.
