At any given point of time there are at least 10-12 cows sitting there. The place is full of cowdung, plastic bottles, paper and other garbage.
The approach to the ferry is a downward slope which is green with moss and splattered with cowdung. Ideal conditions for people to slip and get injured. The Panaji side of the jetty is not much better.
Apart from being a sickening sight the carelessness of the authorities in taking care of the jetty presents a sorry picture to a lot of the locals and also to domestic and international tourists who use the ferry. A massive clean-up jobs is required urgently.
