Namesake,Bob was never an evil person. In fact, he was a hero when he started
as PM. Then he let himself and the country slip into complacency and finally
chaos - just because he was surrounded by enough people who were always there
to assure him that none but himself, was capable of running the show.
Doesn't this sound all to familiarÉ
I can point to a dozen organisations that are run by people who will never
leave - starting with Goanet.

Never has such a thing happened before, so if anyone tries to analyze what this
is all about and what caused MBS to do it, will be acting in the manner of a
monkey at a dart board.

Only two things can come of this:
MBS will come out the victor and therefore a strongman or will disappear in the
process.
Or
Saudi Arabia as we know it will no longer continue to be.

I’m guessing it will be a combination of the two.

Events such as these are for tomorrow’s history books. A pity that a fool like
Trump heads the United States at this juncture. There’s no saying what a
smarter POTUS could have got out of this.

[Goanet] AIFF REPORT: We Want To Win Hero I-League: Arnab Mondal

2017-11-22 Thread AIFF Media
Dear Colleagues,

Please find below the interview of Kingfisher East Bengal captain Arnab
Mondal.

--

*We Want To Win Hero I-League: Arnab Mondal*

*NEW DELHI:* After finishing third in the yester edition of the Hero
I-League, Kingfisher East Bengal’s old warhorse Arnab Mondal has set his
eyes on winning the elusive Hero I-League trophy for the Kolkata outfit in
the 11th edition of the domestic league which is slated to kick-off
from November
27, 2017.

“We want to win the Hero I-League. It is as simple as that”, a confident
Arnab Mondal said on the sidelines of the Hero I-League launch in the
capital yesterday. “A successful campaign for us will be winning the Hero
I-League and we are focused on achieving the same.”

The Red and Golds have always been title challengers in the Hero I-League
finishing third last season with 33 points out of 18 matches, finishing
below rivals Mohun Bagan and four points adrift of champions Aizawl FC.

“The best result for us will be winning the Hero I-League and that is also
my personal target. I want to lift the Hero I-League trophy with Kingfisher
East Bengal in my career”, after a pause, he adds, “Individually, I am
hell-bent on winning this trophy. In a sense, this trophy means a lot to me
and winning it would mean the world to me.”

The defender further said that he will dedicate the Hero I-League win to
the fans. “If we win the Hero I-League, it will be for the fans. They have
been our support and have cheered for us through thick and thin. They
deserve to be rewarded and we are striving on giving this gift to our fans”

But certainly, it will be tough as the Kolkata outfit face defending
champions Aizawl FC in their opening fixture of the campaign. “Every team
in the Hero I-League presents its own challenges. No team is easy and every
team plays to win. The challenge for us is to outplay them and secure the
results”

“The pressure is always there when you play at the highest level but if we
win a couple of our opening matches and gather maximum points, we can
breathe a little.”

“We have to take one match at a time and at the same time aim for a win in
every match we play including the away fixtures”, Mondal stated.

[Goanet] Press Release for Saree Styling Workshop

2017-11-22 Thread Gitanjali Gallery
Please ensure that this is published by tomorrow, the 23rd of November.

Feature:

Of all the vibrant cultural fashions that India can boast, the humble
unstitched Sari has to be the most overlooked and yet the most versatile
and widely used fabric by the Indian woman.

And yet, it is taken for granted far too often.

Rooted in the balanced mix of culture and modernity, The Indian Draping
Company is a movement to revive the ancient wisdom in the traditional
drapes and infuse them with a modern perspective. Each region has a native
garment that evolves from local sensibilities, as well as the occupation
and culture of the wearer. The garment adapts to suit the local context,
weather, and geography.
Spearheading this traditional renaissance is Niketa Malhotra, a self
professed Sari Enthusiast and draping whisperer of the famous five to nine
yards. Niketa's Sari journey began seven months ago when she attended a
Sari workshop
conducted by reknowned textile and Sari scholar, Ṛta Kapur Chishti.

Niketa's workshops are generally limited to a small group of eight to ten
so as to give the right amount of dedicated attention to each participant.
The two hour workshop is roughly divided into two halves. The first hour
starts with an ice-breaking session followed by an interactive presentation
and discussion of the evolution of the Sari from its glorious past to what
we know today Niketa will keep you informed and entertained with a mix of
pictures, videos, and anecdotes. The second hour is focused on practical
trials of four draping styles, wherein Niketa will show you how to drape
the unstitched saree in imaginative ways, and then have you practice your
unique style so you perfect it. So ladies, bring those drapes out of the
closet and go wild!

Event Listing:
This Saturday, the 25th of November, come and find a saree draping style
that fits your personality like a glove. Gallery Gitanjali in collaboration
with Niketa Malhotra of The Indian Draping Co. present the Saree Styling
Workshop. In an intimate group, participants will learn about the science
of the saree and new ways of draping it to suit their lifestyle and
personality. Fun and hands on, the workshop will be from 11AM to 1PM.
Registration at Rs. 2500 per head.

Thanks & Regards
