B.I.B.L.E. - Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous,
it is not inflated,

5 it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not
quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,

6 it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.

7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all
things.

[Goanet] WILL COVID-19 BOOST GOEM, GOEMKAR AND GOEMKARPONN

2020-07-04 Thread Aires Rodrigues
When the BJP assumed office on 9th March 2012, the then Chief Minister
Manohar Parrikar had rightly pointed out that Goa’s exploding migrant
population was a matter of grave concern and needed to be frozen. But
nothing was done towards achieving that end, except for vague talk on
Special Status for Goa.

Now with this pandemic which has struck the world and with Goans returning
back to their land in droves there will now be no dearth of qualified Goans
available. At this juncture the role of the Goa NRI Commission is to act as
a vibrant catalyst in drawing avenues and opportunities to encourage Goans
who have returned and also those who are currently out of Goa to come back
and serve their soil.

There has been a disturbing perception of the ideal Goa as seen by the
average Non Resident Goan (NRG) who would have liked it to remain
unchanged. The Non Resident Goans and more importantly, the youth have
wanted to see changes in employment opportunities as they would have
preferred to make Goa their home. The overseas Goans have not always been
satisfied with what they see in Goa. They are repelled by the culture of
corruption that has become a part of the Goan society and just cannot
relate to the acceptance of these standards.

The bureaucratic processes endemic in Indian methodology has put off many
Non Residents from investing locally. Over the years International Goan
Conventions have been held to deliberate on issues concerning Goa and
related to Non Residents. There had been a unanimous demand for the
Government of Goa to set up an NRG centre as a focal point to redress
problems of NRGs and to see what role they could play in the progress and
development of Goa. In response to this demand the Government set up a “NRG
Commission”. We have yet to see anything concrete achieved by this outfit,
which started in February 2006 with ambitious plans.

Many NRGs after years of service abroad have longed to settle in the land
of their origin. But for many reasons they are disheartened and give up.
For someone who has never witnessed water supply shortages or power
failures it is a nightmare coping with the erratic water and power supply
which has been a matter of routine in Goa. NRGs also feel that the
prospects of a good education in Goa for their children is bleak and this
is something the Government should focus on. Good public hospitals and
quality professional educational institutions is something Goa so dearly
needs.

Overall, if Goa’s basic infrastructure is improved it will motivate many
more NRGs to come back and set up shop in the place that is so dear to
them. But as always politicians want their fingers in every pie, and
nothing runs professionally or free from political interference.

In recent years a lot of Goan politicians have made overseas trips,
ostensibly as study projects abroad. It was expected that they would bring
home some ideas to improve things here. Unfortunately, these trips at
taxpayer expense have in reality been shopping and sightseeing junkets for
our politicians.

Many Goans feel the urge to play a role in shaping the future of Goa but
the authorities would have to play their role to encourage all NRGs to
return and invest their skills and savings in the land of their roots. The
very high level of corruption in Goa is something that every NRI detests.
So a war against corruption and nepotism could be the starting point in
bringing Goa closer to every Non Resident Goan looking forward to a well
governed State.

[Goanet] Global Goans Helping Goa

2020-07-04 Thread Bernado Colaco
Things can change in Goa if there is inclusiveness among all communities. In
the current situation inclusiveness is seriously undermined by the so called
'majority communtiy'. Decades have been spent on building structures but no
infrastructure. The life of communidade has gone for a toss. Today if ALL young
Goans  come together for a common cause than there will be change. Having said
that before 1961 All Goans got together but for the wrong cause. The subsequent
generations are facing the music. Also note that Global Goans have been helping
Goa via remittances in staggering amounts. Imagine Portuguese Goans supporting
bharat economy!
BC

We who live in Goa are fighting so many corrupt forces here that are
dominating and destroying Goa and trying to make it just another concrete
jungle where corruption, drugs, prostitution, land grabbing, environmental
destruction and other evils flourish. We will not allow this to happen
anymore, so we are doing our best and ask the help of Goans across the
world to save what is left of Goa. We strive to make Goa a beautiful, yet
modern and orderly place, hopefully a place that Goans overseas may like to
return to one fine day.

Regards,
Werner Egipsy Souza

[Goanet] After Lively Discussionn on Bible & All Lives Matter Great Caution Needed

2020-07-04 Thread Adolfo Mascarenhas
*Number of possibility Moiradown Man, Kapemdown Man*

After all the publicity about Darwin the bible and the origin of humans,
the Black skin is evil notions, a certain Charles Dawson, amateur
archeologist carried out a major HOAX
Briefly Dawson wrote to the Natural History Museum claiming to have
discovered the missing evolutionary link between apes and humans in a
fossil he had dug up in Piltdown, Sussex.

spectacles This was swallowed line, hook and the lead sinker by a group of
bespectacled, serious looking academic types. National and Social Climate
fused. Here in an Empire in which the sun never set were being upstaged, of
all the people by *Peking Man* (*Homo erectus pekinensis*, formerly known
or *Sinanthropus pekinensis*) ::: This was the beginning of one of the
most successful Hoax disproved only in 1953/ In its wake other hoaxes were
built.

Dawson's Piltdown Man was conclusively declared as a hoax in 1953, after
decades of leading scientists down the wrong path of evolutionary study.

Right from the "fossils" dating back to millio n of years or
Pliocene-era Isabelle
De Groote
,
a professor at the Research Centre in Evolutionary Anthropology and
Palaeoecology at Liverpool showed that the bones were fakes,

GOADOWN HOAX is imminent.

There are two likely Sites MOIRA & QUEPEM:

For several reasons I will mention only three of the randomly:

1 In Moira there are many learned people some who are musicians

2 In Moira they are great banana eaters..and this food for the brain
even makes them eccentric. In one crazy moment they even tried to push the
Massive Church

::: 3 Moira Chaps have spread from Uganda to GB, Norway, Iowa, Toronto etc
etc. These are agents.

The KAPEM HOAX::: is even more real I saw a fellow Locally Called White
He was took some chicken bones, ..and was mixing it with red clay near
the Deao Palace ...exactly like the Hoax in Susses. The maid even told me
that he collects crab shells.

The rest of Goa might all migrate 

Both these two centres should be protected from Hoaxer

[Goanet] GOA IN DIRE STRAITS WITH COVID-19 SPREADING RAPIDLY

2020-07-04 Thread Aires Rodrigues
While India is swiftly inching to surpass Russia to be in third place
having the world’s most confirmed cases of COVID-19, the scene in the
nation’s smallest state Goa is alarming and a matter of great concern. From
being in the Green Zone just a few days back, we today are in the
precarious Zone having now already having over 1000 cases, and quickly
spreading across the State. The virus has struck across the length and
breadth of Goa.

Our fears stand allayed that the government was causal while not taking the
correct and timely steps. The series of flip flops and U-Turns has only
made things worse. The ground reality is that we are today in a very dicey
situation on account of the politicians in power being focused on wrong
priorities while the virus has merrily sneaked in much to everyone’s peril.
A confused and oscillating Chief Minister is not in the State’s best
interest. Mixed messages and wrong actions are a recipe for the disaster
unfolding before our eyes in Goa.

When the pandemic set in, it would have been prudent for the politicians to
have stepped aside, and allowed a team of experts to guide, monitor and
deal with the situation with their expertise. This destructive pandemic not
seen in over a hundred years requires politicians to follow the science,
and specialized branches of medicine like virology and epidemiology not
just ayurvedic medicine. A little knowledge can be dangerous as the current
infection rate in Goa shows.

But as we know politicians cannot do without having their hand and say in
every pie. Power corrupts and absolute Power corrupts absolutely. Goa is
now bearing the brunt. There has been a complete and total lack of
leadership and a failure to act in the best interests of the people.

In the current very gloomy scenario, imposing President’s rule and having
Governor Satya Pal Malik in command to steer the State through this current
calamity may be a step in the right direction. Only God can Save our Goa
from this looming catastrophe!
