[Goanet] Lies, Lies, Lies
First it was the courageous Indian (not Goan) investigative journalists, TV reporters and news analysts. Then it was the CNN and now the BBC and the rest of the world. The situation in India is dire and the world is ready to help but all the ruling party does is deny everything that does not reflect well on them. Therefore: There is no oxygen shortage. Enough beds have been added to hospitals to cope. There is no delay in lifting aid supplies from airports. Instructions to village and town officials: Don’t attribute deaths to Covid. 747 doctors dead - that must be in Brazil. Ignore the offers from Pakistan and China as hostile. Elsewhere, in a more sane country the leaders would have been saying a mea culpa, admitting to their overconfidence, wrong judgement, administrative paralysis and priorities in other areas like elections, religious gatherings and lax preventive measures. But no, that is beyond the dignity of Modi, beyond the self-confidence of any railway station chaiwala. In any other country there would have been a daily press conference to display transparency but Modi knows he cannot face questions that would show his utter callousness and complete lack of coping ability. If there is one characteristic of this prime minister and this government, it is disrespect for transparency because it enables them to operate in the dark and destroy democracy. In no other country has the Supreme Court castigated the government and instructed it in the duties it should be performing for its people in the humiliating manner as the Indian Supreme Court had to do by threatening arrest and death penalties for errant officials. And yet there are no lessons learnt and the prevailing wisdom of the current government is that all this will blow away like it did after demonetization and we can all get back to the way it was. [Goanet] Crimes Against Humanity
Time for the demonic one party rule to be kicked out of Goa. In the sub continent many thousands are dying on a daily basis not 3000 or 4000 as reported. Millions are infected. New reports suggest that the aid is being diverted to certain quarters. Those suffering receive no support. BC There are increasing calls that the chaiwalla, the chowkidar, the barely literate man where the buck should stop, be tried at the ICJ for crimes against humanity. Massive aid sitting at airports while 23,000 Indians die, is one more crime against humanity. Another illiterate, a Chief Minister who is a quack and could be expected to have a ?gau-mutri? party in Goa any day now after a similar party was held elsewhere in India where cow?s urine was passed around in glasses and dung recommended for skin application to prevent Covid, is another minor Nero who plays the tabla while Goa burns and ventilators which sell for 200K rupees are bought on taxpayers dime for 800K rupees.

[Goanet] This Too Shall Pass
Correction: The Spanish Flu dead number was 3.3 percent, the afflicted number was 33 per cent of the 1918 world population. Here is an easy table: Spanish Flu Afflicted: 500 million Dead: 50 million Population: 1.5 billion Covid 19 Afflicted: 156 million Dead: 3.3 million Population: 7.8 billion If there is one good impersonal overview of this pandemic, it is that at the moment it pales in comparison with that of the Spanish Flu which ultimately affected one-third of the prevailing population of the world in 1918. Despite the global population now being 5 times that of 1918, this pandemic has so far afflicted, if I may use the word only, 3.2 million people which is 0.004 (less than half of one-tenth of one per cent) of the current world’s population. Compare that with the 33 percent dead figure of the Spanish Flu, although we are not out of the woods yet. As in 1918, mankind will survive it. Quote The 1918 influenza pandemic was the most severe pandemic in recent history. It was caused by an H1N1 virus with genes of avian origin. Although there is not universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919. In the United States, it was first identified in military personnel in spring 1918. It is estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was estimated to be at least 50 million worldwide with about 675,000 occurring in the United States. Unquote. Roland. Toronto.

[Goanet] Govt centres are inadequate facility certify politicians
Politicians give clean chit to covid facilities treatment centres MLA ,minister politicians etc give a clean chit to Govt facilities for Covid 19 treatment Unlike common man they do not need health card ,permissiobs to be admitted in the best of private hospital anywhere including abroad for secure confortanle treatment It is all free reimbursement at public cost It is the declaration of pathetic state of affairs at Govt centres with lack of facilities ,like beds, drugs, oxygen, food and attendants, doctors, etc. They know that is graveyard for helpless people That is why in life, sickness and death politicians tap on piblic funds with impunity and take best of treatment with tax payers money Remember one spent a whooping 14 crores, yet did not survive May they survive to fight another term for everyterm increases their pensions et al Nelson Lopes Chinchinim
