Now imagine poor young Goan children having to walk barefoot, on hot roads, on unclean and possibly unsanitary streets in Goa. Support our team and send flip flops to these children, they not only offer a healthier alternative to walking barefoot. It is also a simple way to offer a child or toddler a feeling of ownership while adding to their confidence and dignity. Our 2011-2012 goal is 500 flip flops. From Jason … LET'S DRAW A BRIDGE PROJECT My project, Let's Draw a Bridge, is designed to help support poor youth in Goa. We will donate school supplies geared to help excel their learning process. From the HEALTHY TEETH FOR TOTS PROJECT group The goal of this project is to improve the overall health of poor children in Goa by providing gift baskets of dental hygiene products. The gift baskets can include the following items: toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouth wash, dental floss, hand sanitizer, wash cloths, etc. We will also be accepting cash donations as well checks. Our aim is to collect enough of these donations to provide approximately 200 gift baskets by December 2012. Improving the hygiene of poor children in Goa can go a long way in terms of preventing more serious infections. For many of us it is the one annual opportunity to catch up with our friends, and their families. The GOA has always been a family organization that strives to foster our culture and pass on our values to the next generation. With the current tough economic situation, we want to be sure everyone has an opportunity to participate in this long standing tradition, and to make sure that finances are not a reason to stay away. Hello, Thank you all for a great weekend! The weekend was full of food, fun, and friends. I noticed that everyone mingled and made new friends, I know I did. Great Job in cleaning up the area! The Camp Manager was happy with our group. I was very impressed by how clean the areas were! Congratulations to the Blue Team for winning the overall competition. A big nod to the Green Team who were by far the most spirited bunch! I was thoroughly impressed with the camaraderie and creativity of the Green Team (great job with the green nail polish). Blue 1st Red 2nd Green 3rd White 4th Thank you to the following people for their help throughout the weekend. These folks made my job easy, and for that, they deserve a special nod. There are so many people that pitched in to help and I can't remember everyone! So a huge thank you to anyone I may have missed: Dee Furtado for a great Mixer! Hello Campers, Just a few quick notes below! A HUGE thank you to our committee and volunteers for making this a fun and enjoyable event. *Competition* Throughout the weekend there will be a competition among the 4 groups. Make sure you wear your team color on Saturday for spirit points! Furthermore, there will be points awarded for winning sports such as volleyball, soccer, and basketball as well as for winning table games such as the whist drive and bingo! *Cabins* The cabins have twin beds with a mattress. You will need to bring the bedding. Each cabin has a heater and at least one electrical outlet. Please sweep your cabins during checkout. A broom will be provided! *Kitchen/Food* There is a walk in refrigerator, an ice machine, and two freezers. Please remember to label your food and keep it neat to conserve space. We will not be allowing the use of the plates, cups, spoons etc belonging to Camp Seely. Disposable supplies and white rice will be provided for the Saturday night dinner. We ask that everyone bring enough for their own family for the other meals. Please be sure to clean up the kitchen immediately after use! *General Rules* No animals! Make friends! Have fun!
