[Goanet] VASCO NEEDS A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER

2012-01-28 Thread Ricky bryan fernandes
VASCO NEEDS A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER
The state of affairs in Vasco is pathetic and seriously needs urgent attention
right from sanitation to roads, fish markets, hospital, vegetable market,
fishing jetty etc.
Our present MLA Philip who has held this bastion for a decade has done no good
for the people of Vasco. In fact has only promoted gudda raj, drug trafficking,
corruption, coal handling at port, illegal construction and family raj to add
to it no development at all in the port town of Vasco.
I am an NRI and I come down every six months in Vasco and the moment I land at
the airport and right through my stay in the city I can literally see that
there is no development at all and Vasco is going in ruins day by day.
Its high time that the people of Vasco think wisely and vote for a change. Vote
for a better candidate, be it any National party.
I feel sorry for the states of affairs in Vasco and request all citizens to act
and vote wisely for a better tomorrow before it is too late.

[Goanet] VASCO HEAVEN FOR DRUG TRAFFICKERS

2011-11-22 Thread Ricky bryan fernandes
VASCO HEAVEN FOR DRUG TRAFFICKERS

Be carefull!! it may so happen that one fine morning you get to know that your
child has fallen prey to drugs.
Today the state of affairs in the port town has been a total dismay, due to the
blessing from the Politicians and government officials.
One can notice that school and college going girls and boys of the port town
have fallen prey to this vice.
There are many drug dens in Vasco, but the latest hot place which has seen a
very high traffic of drug trafficking is at the dead end road in Mangor hill,
Vasco near Aristocrat apartment.
Come evening and there a bikes zooming down to this place as it looks like a
honey comb. Girls and boys from good families flock down to have their share in
the party.
The residents of that area are terrified and don’t even come out in the evening
due to fear.
For sure the Vasco police are well aware of what’s happening, but are giving a
deaf ear to this.
Today, the root causes of most of the crimes in the port town are related to
drugs.
I would request the local MLA, politicians and government officials to take
this issue very seriously and put a zero tolerance stance on drugs trafficking
or elves it will be too late till Vasco turn to be a drug trafficking hub of
Goa.

Your Sincerely, Stellon Dell

Dear Sir,
I request you to please publish this article in your esteemed medium.
45 days have passed since our beloved Naresh was brutally murdered, but still
Goa police have not come out with any concrete feedback on this case. Lots of
things are yet to be revealed. What was the motive behind the murder.Who are
the other culprits involved. In the last press report released the Goa Police
said that the police are yet to establish the motive behing the murder As
per the Police the culprit Snehal has already confessed the crime and what is
stopping the Police from revealing the motive behind this murder. For sure if
the culprit has acknowleged the murder during the interogation and then he must
have also revealed the motive of this murder.
Is the Goa Police trying to subside this case due to some political pressure.
Goa Police we need an answer and dont think that the people of Goa have
forgotten this case.

Thanking you.

[Goanet] JUSTICE DELAYED IS JUSTICE DENIED

2010-08-26 Thread Ricky bryan fernandes
It has been 25 day since the Vasco lad Naresh Dourado was brutally murdered and
till date the Goa Police have not come out with any findings nor have the
culprits been brought to light.
As mentioned earlier we cannot take this case for granted like the other cases
happening on a daily basis in Goa. The Goa Government and Goa Police should
take stern measures to bring Justice to the family of the deceased.
We the people of Goa need an answer from the Goa Police.
We hope there are no interferences from the local politicians to suppress this
case for any reason.
May justice prevail.

Youth found stabbed to death in Chicalim flat
TNN, Aug 3, 2010, 06.31am IST

VASCO: In a gruesome murder, one Naresh Dourado, 25, from Vasco, was
stabbed to death by unidentified culprits in his brother's flat at
Chicalim on Monday morning.

The murder came to light when his family members rushed to the flat
after receiving a call from his workplace asking for his whereabouts as
he had not turned up for work and efforts to contact him by his incharge
Ugdesh Swar over his mobile phone had failed. Dourado was working as an
executive for Idea mobile company in Margao.

Dourado had gone alone to stay in his brother's flat, on the second
floor of Sharom Crest apartments, opposite SMRC hospital, Chicalim. His
brother is working abroad.

Police informed that when family members entered the flat they found the
door open and Dourado was lying on the floor in a pool of blood. Police
said that the culprits must have entered the house with the victim's
permission as the lock of the door was intact.

After conducting the panchnama, police revealed that there were multiple
injuries on Dourado's body. Mormugao DySP Mahesh Gaonker informed that
while two stab wounds were found on his abdomen, police recovered a
knife embedded in his neck.

Gaonker also informed that the incident could have taken place between
3:30am to 8:30am, as Dourado's cousin Sherman Nuniz informed police that
the victim messaged him on Monday till 3:30am. Police also revealed that
a new grey coloured Chevrolet Spark car bearing registration no GA 06 D
4306, a laptop and a mobile phone belonging to the victim went missing
after the incident. As the items are missing, robbery motive cannot be
ruled out, Gaonker said.

The deceased is a graduate from MES college and is the nephew of ex-MLA
of Vasco Herculano Dourado. He is also related to MMC ex-chairperson and
councillor Carlos Almeida. The deceased has an elder brother and a
younger sister. Police have registered the case under Section 302 of the
Indian Penal Code.

Youth murdered in Vasco
HERALD REPORTER
VASCO, AUG 2
A 26-year-old man, Naresh Dourado, from Vasco was brutally murdered by
unknown persons in his brother’s flat at Chicalim-Vasco in the wee hours
of Monday.

Naresh Dourado, who was working as a franchise co-ordinator for a
cellular company in Margao, was found murdered in his brother’s vacant
flat, where he had gone to spend the night, which he often used to do
during weekends.

Naresh’s new car Chevrolet Spark (GA-06-D-4306) along with the laptop
and mobile phone were found missing.

The incident came to light when Naresh’s relative had gone to the flat
to enquire whether he had gone for duty, as his boss had called them to
inform that Naresh had not come for work on Monday.

His boss and manager of Idea Cellular Updesh Swar said Naresh was
working under him.

“When I called him on Monday morning to enquire why he had not reported
for duty, I found his mobile phone switched off,” said Swar.

Swar further informed that when he called his residence, the family
members informed him that he might have left for work directly from the
flat, but Swar informed them that he has not reported for duty and his
mobile phone was switched off.

Herculan Dourado, former Cortalim legislator, is the uncle of the
deceased and his cousin Carlos Almeida, former Mormugao Municipal
Council chairperson, were present at the murder site.

The people of Goa need to know why this lad from Vasco was murdered in such a
brutal way. This is a matter of serious concern to the citizens of Goa knowing
that there is no security to life, in the once called Goan Paradise.
This is a prime opportunity for the Goa Police to re-instill their lost faith
in the people of Goa. If needed the Goa Police should take help from other
state police department to help them in the findings.

We the people of Goa strongly believe and hope that justice will prevail in
this case.
