Almeida’s Second Book Bandpas to be released
Bandpas, a book authored by well-known Fatorda based Konkani writer
Menino Almeida and published by Marrish Prokaxon, Fatorda will be
released on September 21 at 5pm at the Margao Municipal Council Hall,
Margao. Reverend Father Boulais da Costa, Parish Priest of Rosary
Church, Fatorda will be the chief guest, Antonio da Piedade Morais, a
staunch Konkani lover and activist will preside over the function while
Vincy Quadros, vice president, Goa Konkani Akademi and Michael Gracias,
chief editor and publisher of the monthly magazine Jivit will be the
guests of honour.
Bandpas is a collection of 15 stories based on different topics, with a
stress on family relationships.
This is Menino Almeida's second book. He has written a book on poetry
named Kavanzall which was published in the year 2007. His poems and
stories are read in many magazines and newspapers. Presently, he is a
regular writer for the magazines Jivit and Konkan Divo.
