I didn't know him personally but I understand he was a leading light in the Cardiology Dept at GMC. Such a bright light extinguished at so young an age. Very sad day, and a big setback for Cardiology in Goa.
Dr. Guruprasad Naik has been tirelessly striving to build a top-notch cardio capability in Goa (despite our politicians - no mean feat) for several years now and Dr. Desai's passing will no doubt impact the project adversely. r
